Terms & Conditions

1. The contest is open for online submissions only, through the facebook page or email to goomeriproject@gmail.com 

 2. Submissions will not be accepted after closing day which is 10th of May 2018.

 3. Images should be no larger than 5MB. Photos must be in JPEG format.

 4. You may submit two entries per person.

 5. You are required to provide a title, location & description for each image submitted.

 6. There must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.

 7. Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).

 8. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.

 9. Every image uploaded is subject to a moderation process before it becomes visible to the public. Goomeri Project reserves all the rights for the submitted Photographs.

If elected as a mayor what would be more important - supporting small entrepreneurs or attracting big business to the Gympie region. GH - Both are important. Coming from a farm and having a small business at the moment sometimes I feel politicians focus too much on big business.   We have to evaluate where is the best bang for the buck. It is easy to throw lots of money at a large company but sometimes the best value for the region is to do the hard yards and work with small businesses to promote growth. Council fees need to be examined.  The council needs to look at options of reducing fees via discounts or deferring fee payments to allow a business to get on their feet. Every opportunity must be judged on its merits, but both are important to our growth. Goomeri Project Photography Contest

Subject We are looking for photographs that illustrate a point of view, a perspective of how the entrant sees and feels about his or her connection to life in Goomeri & surrounding area Kilkivan to wondai. The image will be judged for its concept, composition and relation to the theme. Prizes All selected photographs will be exhibited as a pre festival programme at the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival 2018 All selected photographers will receive a gift pack and media exposure before and after the exhibition Exhibition The photographic project exhibition will be organised by the Goomeri Project a non-profit community organization in collaboration with the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival. The selected 12 photographs by the judges will be exhibited and auctioned as a pre festival activity. All proceeds will go to a charity yet to be determined.
